PATREON EXCLUSIVE: Should Porn Be Banned?

PATREON EXCLUSIVE: Should Porn Be Banned?

Comments

When researching this topic did you notice how far pornography goes back in the human existence?

BTW: How often do you watch porn? I'd like to know so I can weigh your own bias on this topic.

How can you point to the porn and claim that its was the problem and disregard the religious aspects that fuck up their minds and push them towards violence? Studies show that the mind can not understand the difference between real sex and video sex. So isn't it healthier that men can find an outlet for all that sperm, than let it build up and then commit the actual act?

I have been retaining for 45 days. Hard workouts really help for me. What do you guys think about retention?

I totally agree on a need for education on the subject of sexuality. I'd take it further to include broader spectrum of emotional litreracy. Destigmatising feelings in men would go a long way. I am fairly in tune with the emotional side. Although I'm 37 and no longer driven by a urge to fuck, fuck, fuck fuck and cut and cut, cuz gain and again. Yet I see men older then me still gripped by the clutches of sex drive. They suffer, and their families suffer too. One of the best ways to break the cycle is to possibly look at the tribal nature of humans. Traditions had served this purpose and need to evolve with the times. I'm open about my emotions and feelings with women and this only draws them to me more then ever. I'm not a winy weepy needy kid by any means. Lack of emotional intelligence and lack of resources on the subject had led me to struggle and bad choices. For many years I had paid for the sins of my predecessors. They are still around. They are still adamant about their beliefs. Although they see me happier, calmer and more satisfied, which makes them happy for me in turn. Even if they don't agree. I'm teaching my children about the biological needs. About feelings and emotions. What it is and how to deal with it. My only hope and intent is to educate them and people around at least by example. I'm watch a porn video here and there. Some day may watch 3-5. Especially if I don't see my girlfriend for a few days. But I have gone no porn for 5-6 weeks at a time. Like anything in this life the porn in itself is not the issue. It is misuse and overuse that causes problems.

I agreed with almost everything. I don't see genetic tampering for esthetics being a good solution. I think one of the cool things that has been done recently is trying to include characters with more diverse appearances and roles in movies and tv shows. If we do that then we broaden the mainstream definition of beauty, because our preferences are in part related to what we are exposed to, I think.

Are you sure everyone would develop the same as you if porn was banned overnight? Is it always the best course of action to take the candy right out of the child's hand?

Female here! Also enjoy a bit of hentai myself, there is nothing wrong with it. There are so many different things that hentai has. Are you okay sharing what specific types of hentai you enjoy watching. What are the dynamics with the men and women? I think in hentai there can be some rapey undertones, normally a woman getting molested or something of that sort but then enjoying it in the end. Do you prefer watching ones where the woman takes charge and fucks the guy? I would also add that for me I watched hentai before normal porn because I felt more guilty watching real people. Also drawings and digital art have more expression on faces which can be more arousing at times. There is also the exaggerated bodies in hentai too xxx

Surprisingly Alexander seemed to forget about the basics in this one.. full analysis of the benefits of porn especially for those who for whatever reason cannot be in a sexual relationship..

A strange taste: I am an early 18 yo male and I love your videos, and respect your vision. I write you to have your opinion on a behavior that I, and some people I know, have.. I have a strange taste: I consume hentai (in the manga form.) The main site I use is nhentai.net I loved anime since i was a child, but I started with hentai when I was 14. I was a lonly child whit not much good "social experiences". I was used watching more hentai (and other form of porn comics) than normal porn... In the current days I watch more normal porn than hentai, but form time to time it happens that I have this desire/impulse to watch some really weird stuff.. stuff that I would never watch with real people in porn. It often happens that after "ending my session" of hentai I feel morally disgusted...😅 Becouse no one talks about it I wanted your opinion, I feel like I can trust your objectiveness and what I percive as toughtful and lucid answers.😀 I don't feel addicted to pornography or to hentai, I even managed to win the no fap november. But I do not know how healty is to watch hentai. I feel like my unconcious tought is: "I don't do this often, if i do it once there wont be any problems". What do you think it's a better relationship to have with hentai consumption? What do you thing about watching weard drawn stuff? Is it harmful? (I feel like te response will be affermative)

That sounds like you had some tough relationships. Sorry to hear that brother.

I think I'm gonna get a lot of flak for my comment, but here it goes: I've had two girlfriends over the last 8 years (each relationship lasted for about 3 years, no thanks to them, though). Last month, a friend invited me to a whore house (don't worry, we got different rooms) and I gotta say I think I paid less than I had in both my relationships for sex. What I mean is: I put in effort to make sure I'm becoming a better person every day, but the reward only comes from the activity itself. Recently, I've decided to start learning japanese (which will be my third language, english being the second) and to go to the gym. I've had some minor flirting with a girl, but I've decided that enough is enough and I lay it politely to her that if she wants to go out, she'll have to be the one to call or text since she always had an excuse. As I've learnt with your channel, the only power I have is that of not making a commitment to a low quality woman. Anyway, what I'm trying to say is that I think I'm done with even trying to date for a while, but not because I don't try, rather because it seems to be an inordinate amount of effort.

Your idea's are not close to truth. Porn &and prostitution were banned in Queensland in the 70's & 80's & they had 5x the sex crimes in Queensland as the other states. The people behind the continued ban were the police & politicians who were booming financially from the much more expensive black market & protection rackettering that is created by people imposing their ideas on the rest of us! Deeming things illegal on a surface level whilst monitorising them on a deeper level is far worse than being open. I'd do some research before saying anyone who doesn't want tit banned is uninformed, in denial or profiting as your daming the author of the above video as well as anyone who doesn't agree with your moralising & demonising. Porn is far from a weapon being used by the ruling class OMG where do you get your ideas?

I don't think it's a disease in & of itself...definitley i'd go for the symptom of something bigger aspect. With up to 30% of men staying virgins until 30 imagine if they had no outlet? In Australia the only state where porn & prostitution were banned had 5x the sex crimes of other states! Now that is a problem Within a year of porn & prostitution being legalised in Queensland they had the = of other states in sex crimes!

I can say asy as an absolute fact that Queensland' in Australia, in the era whe you couldn't even by a 'Playboy' magazine the sex crimes in that state were 5x higher than in all the other states put together. In saying that I too have noticed the extremity of porn going through the roof. All things in moderation i'm thinking. I've see data that 32-38 % of porn recipients are now women!! I printed porn back in the day & before regulations the child porn & beastiality were openly sold in sex shops which were owned buy the printing factory i worked as an industrial printer in so i'm thinking that maybe out there porn has always been in the background...look at the dark sites..I haven't been on any but i've heard terrible things are offerred on them! Thanks for this video, I agree with it & thanks for a balanced view as always :D

As usual, Alex gives a wonderfully empathetic take on this issue, showing a rare level of understanding of males.

Good luck with your counselling! You are clearly on the right track and facing your problems 😊 If porn just stopped existing right now, how do you think it would affect you? Do guys struggle to get off without visual stimulation? xxx

THANK YOU! So many people when talking about the negatives of porn, never seem to address that there are, in fact, positives to it as well. I agree with Alexander in that it's not the end, not the ideal, a relationship is. But for all those guys who can't have a relationship, it is a godsend. I was addicted to porn when I was younger, so I stayed away from it completely for years. I have found that moderation is the best, watching it when I want, which is sometimes a few minutes a day to a couple times a week. Not being addicted to it is key, though. And for those that say stopping porn will help you get a relationship, for me it did not. I found I have much bigger issues preventing me from getting a relationship than just no motivation. I'm going to a counselor to work through those, but who knows how long before I'll be ready, so it's nice to have porn to release some of the desires I have.

The effect this stuff has on men is catastrophic.

Yeah strange how lots of women don't use porn a lot. It is like going to the cinema for me... time to crack out the popcorn and nachos for this absolute beauty of a bondage scene 🤣🤣 xxx

Similar to what Alisha commented in her post above, when porn started to expand - it was positive for me. I found it quite liberating and educational. It helped me truly understand some of my preferences - and to know that I wasn’t alone in them. Plus, I’ve also used it several times for tips and tricks on how to please my husband -some worked great, some hilarious failures - but all worked toward helping to open communication lines about sex in our marriage. Of course, that’s a big caveat - I’m a married woman who only consumes pornography once a week at most but often less than that - so how I see porn is likely very different from how a single man sees it and internalizes the effects.

I just think generally some people tend to simplify some issues to "You're either in complete support or completely against" which can lead into people forming artificial opinions that are caricatures of their actual views, deep down.

While it is true that porn feminzises you, it is also causing a war in the heads of a lot of people, driving them crazy and making them miserable. This will absolutely cause people to do terrible things. Removing this drug from there lifes will cause them to have more sexual energy but it also teaches you to use that energy in a healthy way like working out or doing valuable work. Now this can cause violonce as well because there are still going to be people who don't know what to do with their energy. So you would need to find a way to teach those. Otherwise sexual violence might actually go up, which is terrible of course. I say that banning porn isn't the answer, but to delete it instead. Make it hard to access it or put it behind a paywall. That will turn more people away from it and minimize the issue.

I guess the question is: is porn the symptom of something bigger or is it the disease itself? xxx

Alisha

It is interesting, I mean essentially those things are a dopamine detox. The thought is around the idea that if a guy stops those other things that he will become productive enough to seek out a partner or someone to have sex with in real life? xxx

Alisha

Jesus, it is a tough one. In my personal experience, porn has been a positive in my life, I grew up with a lot of shame and repression around sex and I always felt this horrible guilt around feeling any pleasure and watching porn to begin with was terrifying as I was comparing myself and getting really upset but eventually I started to enjoy it. I only watch porn a few times a month tops, I am not addicted to it. My man also watches porn and he is confident and has no sexual problems at all. I have a guy friend who has porn induced erectile dysfunction (PIED) and I had a discussion with him about it and he is obviously really against porn because it does (like most internet things nowadays) result in this novelty addiction which resembles adhd. But for him it is the comparison thing as well which I did have too, I don't know why mines went away and his stayed. I was talking to him about how he feels watching porn and what he feels after and he did tell me that he felt dirty and just awful after he got off. I then asked my boyfriend how he felt when watching porn and he said it is just like sex but isn't as good. I then asked him if he felt bad after and he said "why would I feel bad?". It makes me think that similar to my last comments on the video about getting off before a date that some of it is the mentality of the person watching the porn but like you said, it is kinda like a what came first, the chicken or the egg situation xxx

Alisha

I really think even limited porn use, say once per week, is enough to keep many guys lonely and frustrated. I agree we shouldn't ban it, but I would encourage anyone who is improving their lives but still feels a level of social anxiety or fear of talking to women to experiment with a life without porn. Not only porn, but instagram, magazines, anything that could arouse. So much of the nofap movement is about guys who consistently go from 'porn user with social anxiety' to '1 month free and I asked out this girl'.

I’m actually not a “dirty commie”, I just don’t want my countrymen enslaved to a drug that destroys lives.

Porn is a weapon being used by the ruling class against average people. It sedates and warps the common man, and makes him focus on short term, effortless and meaningless pleasure rather than higher pursuits. There are so many negative effects related to pornography consumption that it could easily take up an entire book. There is no moral justification for not banning pornography, and anyone who does not want it banned is either uninformed, in denial about the state of their addiction or is profiting from the addiction of others.

I say ultimately yes. My life has been so much better ever since I stopped watching porn, I also think it cured problems in the bedroom I use to have but don’t have anymore. The only positive thing I’d say I learned from porn is that it taught me different sex positions.

Nothing should be banned you dirty commies. Just don't watch it. Also, I think the rise in male virginity is more due to the rise of dating apps rather than porn. Both are part of the problem, but more the former.
