Seer is a remote first agency and Certified B-Corp with team members working across the country. If an office environment is more your style, this position can also sit in Philadelphia or San Diego. We can only consider candidates based in the US who are able to work continental US based hours.

We are seeking a talented Technical Freelance Content Writer to work with us on a freelance basis and bring technical expertise to life through compelling content. If you are passionate about technology and have a knack for distilling complex concepts into easy-to-understand, fluff-free content that resonates with tech-savvy audiences, we’d love to work with you!

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Content Creation: Write clear, engaging, and technically accurate content, including blog posts, white papers, case studies, technical guides, and website copy, tailored to the needs of clients in internet security, SaaS, observability, and digital systems industries.

• Research: Conduct thorough research to understand complex technical topics, and transform that research into crisp, compelling copy.

• SEO & Strategy Integration: Optimize content for search engines while aligning with overarching marketing strategies to achieve business goals.

• Audience Alignment: Adapt tone, style, and complexity to target audiences ranging from C-suite executives to technical teams.

• Project Management: Work on multiple projects simultaneously, meeting deadlines and maintaining high-quality output.

• Industry Trends: Stay updated on the latest trends, technologies, and best practices within the technical landscape to keep content fresh and relevant.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Proven Experience: 3+ years of writing experience, preferably in technology-related fields. Experience with internet security, SaaS, observability, and/or digital systems is a strong advantage.

• Technical Fluency: Ability to quickly grasp and articulate complex technical concepts for both technical and non-technical audiences.

• Writing & Editing Skills: Exceptional writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a strong attention to detail.

• SEO Knowledge: Familiarity with best practices for SEO and content marketing strategies.

• Communication: Strong verbal and written communication skills, with an ability to collaborate effectively in cross-functional teams.

• Tools & Platforms: Experience using tools such as [list any specific tools you use, e.g., WordPress, Google Analytics, Grammarly, or technical platforms relevant to the role].

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

• Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Journalism, Technical Writing, Computer Science, or a related field.

• Background or certifications in cybersecurity, cloud computing, SaaS, or similar technical domains.

• Experience working in an agency or freelance environment, managing multiple clients or projects simultaneously.

ADDITIONAL DETAILS:

• Average content length: ~1000-1300 words

• $112.50 per hour

• Estimated time per piece: 4-5 hours

• Compensation (DNE) capped at $500 per piece (flexible for larger pieces)

• Flexibility is required for retainer-based projects with varying scopes
