All pitches must include a headline, key idea/point of analysis, why it's interesting/we should be writing this now.
Please send pitches by 9am on the commissioning date at the latest.
PITCHING GUIDELINES
Our core aim is to challenge and inspire business C-suite decision-makers with forward-thinking content on topics that matter. We will not accept any ideas that do not meet this core aim.
Please check previous reports and the website to ensure the pitch is a fresh angle Raconteur has not covered before.
We are looking for bold and engaging long-form features and stories on emerging trends in each sector, igniting important conversations about business, culture and society.
We are primarily targeting well-informed business executives, so our content should assume some degree of prior knowledge from our readers, regardless of the complexity of the topic.
We are open to all article formats, including but not limited to feature interviews, for-and-against pieces, listicles, case studies, data-based
When pitching, if possible/suitable please include the sorts of people you intend to reach out to/data you intend to use
Keep pitches between 50 and 200 words, and to the point.
Pitches do not guarantee a commission. All titles are subject to cancellation or delays in commissioning
Unfortunately, we cannot respond to everyone who pitches post commissioning meeting. If you have not heard from us within a day or two of the commissioning date, it is likely we have picked other ideas (unless there is a chance of us going up in pagination, which will be indicated below).
Copy deadline is generally two weeks after the commissioning date but please refer to emails from us for exact dates/timings.
