I believe honesty can be an advantage. I prefer not to attract someone who is superficial or enter into a relationship with a dead end. As for lying by omission, I do believe in appropriate sharing which involves trust earned by the other person. Finally, I consider some "puffery" (not lying) perfectly acceptable during the attraction phase. Especially when it is strategic such as showing the woman I have more ambition than her.
