Pitches wanted (travel) | ~$250 to $400 per article
Added 2025-06-12 18:47:58 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: FODOR'S TRAVEL
Fodor's Travel is seeking original, engaging travel stories from freelance writers. Pitches should introduce unique angles that inspire, intrigue, or inform readers, such as unusual destinations, travel hacks, hot takes, money-saving tips, points/miles strategies, safety protocols, or compelling travel mishaps. Writers must clearly outline their proposed angle and demonstrate expertise or cite sources where necessary. Press trips and complimentary amenities are accepted but must be disclosed upfront. Fodor’s specifically avoids generic SEO-focused guides (e.g., top restaurants or museums), business-centric topics, outdated narratives, or overly personal travel reflections. Writers are encouraged to pitch content that is entertaining, timely, and inclusive, thoughtfully representing diverse perspectives and responsible tourism practices. Fodor’s will respond within six weeks only if interested.

CONFIDENTIAL NOTE: Reports indicate that Fodor's Travel pays $250 to $400 per article. It is recommended that you discuss the rate(s) with the editor upon the acceptance of your pitch.
