We’re seeking a skilled Lead Writer to develop, write, and edit scripts for our YouTube channels “Wallace” and “Pop Culture Explained.” The Lead Writer will be expected to:
Generate high-quality outlines and scripts through research and storytelling
Craft 10-25 minute videos about characters, races, species and places from pop culture
Review and edit scripts for clarity, coherence, and creativity
Use detailed lore research to build their scripts
Produce 2-4 high quality scripts per week
IDEAL CANDIDATE
Applicants should possess exceptional research abilities, a keen interest in pop culture, and the ability to match our style and tone. Crafting scripts involves conducting thorough research, using credible sources, and structuring the script around our formats. The ideal applicant will be punctual and consistent, as well as having a great understanding of YouTube storytelling.
JOB REQUIREMENTS
Native or fluent English ability
Strong research capabilities
A passion for analyzing the lore of movies and pop culture
Demonstrated experience writing YouTube videos
Flexibility to meet deadlines and adapt to feedback
Strong written and verbal communication skills and a collaborative mindset
Portfolio containing previous writing work, ideally in pop culture
