Josh Kramer, Head of Editorial at New_ Public, is looking for pitches:
Want to write for our newsletter? We’re looking for great pitches and better writers. Have something to say about community stewardship, local online groups, alternative social media, civic health and clubs, or the intersection of journalism and social media?
WRITE FOR US
We typically pay $500 for a complete newsletter draft. Please email hello(at)newpublic(dot)org with “Writing for the newsletter” in the subject line, and up to three links to relevant samples of your writing. Tell me about yourself and name some topics you might be interested in writing about. (Hint: look through our extensive archive!)
Not a great fit for us: Tech reviews, personal essays, investigative reporting, marketing
Up our alley: community stewardship, local online groups, decentralized/alternative social media, civic health and clubs, and where journalism and social media intersect
I’m also happy to assign a topic if we want to work together. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.
