Deadline: 9 May 2025
Lauren Quinn, Fractional Editor at Motley Bloom, is looking for pitches:
Motley Bloom Pitch Call!
This month, we're looking for pieces on a few specific topics:
Fun in the sun: Essays, roundups, product reviews or how-to's on summer fun
First-person essays on the intersection of neurodivergence and queerness (Happy Pride!)
First-person essays that feature underrepresented neurodivergences, such as Tourette's, dyspraxia, stuttering, etc.
As always, we lean into traits and lived experience, and look for pieces with a clear, unique angle and takeaway. Writers must have first-hand lived experience with neurodivergence. (We love our allies and caretakers, but this is our place to shine!)
Send in pitches by May 9. Please include a brief bio and links to 2-3 published clips. Check out full submission guidelines here: https://www.motley-bloom.com/submissions#WriteForUs
