The Sage Group’s client, a forward-thinking tech consulting company specializing in AI, is seeking a seasoned Ghost Writer (Executive Communications) to support one of its most senior AI thought leaders, a member of the company’s C-suite. This role is ideal for a strategic storyteller with the versatility to write across creative, technical, and executive formats.
You’ll play a pivotal role in crafting and amplifying the executive’s voice across a variety of platforms—keynotes, articles, press interviews, and more—positioning her as a global authority in Agentic AI, organizational transformation, and enterprise innovation.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Speechwriting: Draft keynote and event speeches for internal and external audiences (short- and long-form), including high-profile engagements, AI events, Investor Day, and global summits.
Thought Leadership: Create compelling articles, LinkedIn posts, and op-eds that reflect the executive’s insights and strategic priorities.
Media Preparation: Develop talking points and interview scripts for press engagements and panel discussions.
Brand Development: Partner closely with PR to elevate the executive’s visibility and influence as a thought leader—both in the U.S. and globally.
Cross-Functional Collaboration: Align with Marketing, Product, Corporate Strategy, and Chiefs of Staff to define content strategy, messaging themes, and publishing cadence.
Event Support: Travel occasionally to NYC (1–2 times/year) to collaborate in person during key events and live rehearsals.
IDEAL CANDIDATE PROFILE:
Experienced Communicator: Background in executive communications, ghostwriting, or journalism with a proven ability to capture another’s voice.
Versatile Writer: Comfortable writing across technical and creative styles, with the ability to simplify complex concepts like Agentic AI and digital transformation.
Strategic Thinker: Able to grasp enterprise-level priorities and tailor messaging for senior audiences, from investors to internal stakeholders.
Collaborative Partner: Works well with C-suite executives and cross-functional teams. Open to feedback and capable of quickly iterating on content.
Technologically Literate: Familiar with the B2B software landscape, enterprise AI trends, and emerging tech topics.
Culturally Aware & Adaptive: Willing to align with a fast-paced, globally distributed executive schedule. Flexibility to work across time zones.
OTHER REQUIREMENTS:
U.S.-based (must be available during Eastern Time Zone work hours).
Able to handle fluctuating workload with grace—ramping up around key events and slowing down during quieter periods.
Contract with the potential to convert to full-time for the right candidate.
Hours: can fluctuate between 10-40+ (high hours for events only, several per year) 20 hours a week on average, could be full-time for the right person
Location: Remote within the United States, NYC or the SF Bay Area highly preferred, domestic travel a few times a year
Rate: DOE $125 hourly (open to discuss market rate)
Benefits: Medical, dental and vision benefits offered for 30+ hours per week average, 401(k) matching
Employment model: Contract. Possible contract-to-hire if a great fit for all
