1. ROLE OVERVIEW
Mercor is partnering with a leading AI lab to contract seasoned poets for a creative initiative aimed at enhancing AI’s understanding of poetic structure, literary nuance, and emotional expression. This is a unique opportunity to apply artistic writing to frontier technology in a short-term engagement.
2. IDEAL QUALIFICATIONS
10+ years of experience writing and publishing poetry
Strong portfolio with notable literary journal publications, anthologies, or awards
Deep understanding of poetic devices, structure, voice, and tone
Ability to critically analyze and articulate what distinguishes high-quality poetry
Excellent written communication and editorial judgment
3. MORE ABOUT THE OPPORTUNITY
Remote and asynchronous — set your own hours
Expected commitment: 20-30 hours/week
Project duration: 6-8 weeks, with potential for extension
4. COMPENSATION & CONTRACT TERMS
$100-150/hour
Paid weekly via Stripe Connect
Freelancers will be classified as independent contractors
