Added 2025-06-26 21:43:29 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: SCIENCE FRIDAY
Science Friday is accepting pitches for digital stories that increase public access to science, technology, medicine, and the environment. The guidelines were recently updated (June 26, 2025), and the team is seeking clear, engaging journalism that’s timely, useful, or joyful. They welcome research-based stories, explainers, science-and-art intersections, policy coverage, and pieces centering historically excluded perspectives.
Writers should pitch fully developed story ideas (not general topics), aiming for 500–1,000 words (or up to 1,200 in Spanish). Pay is $0.80/word. Submissions are accepted on a rolling basis via their pitch form.
Current priority: stories on the science of cycling. See the guidelines for more details.
International writers are welcome but must confirm Bill.com payment logistics before signing a contract.
