• Marginal advances in established fields (“Tweaked drug improves secondary endpoint by 10%”).

• Puff pieces, clickbait, aggregated “content,” stories submitted by PR, or opinion pieces about this week’s political news cycle.

• Features within our beats but written from an ideological or political perspective.
