We are pleased to inform you that the call for proposals for the 6th edition of the International Literary Prize “Canne al Vento” (“Reeds in the Wind”), promoted by the Municipality of Galtellì, Sardinia (Italy), in collaboration with the The Jane Austen Club of Sardinia, is officially open!
The prize, dedicated to Grazia Deledda, the first Italian woman awarded the Nobel Prize for Literature, is now in its 6th edition, confirming itself as an important event in the international literary scene.
We are currently looking for writers and authors interested in participating in the initiative and, in this regard, we are involving literary institutes and organizations all over the world to collaborate in the dissemination of this competition.
Participation in the competition is free of charge and the prize is for short stories, divided into two sections:
Section A: Short stories in Italian and English
Section B: Short stories in Sardinian language
For each section, the winners will receive EUR 500. In addition, all finalists will have their stories published and will be hosted and reimbursed for travel expenses to attend the award ceremony in Galtellì, the charming Sardinian village where Grazia Deledda's famous novel Reeds in the Wind is set.
