Studio Magazine is now accepting pitches for editorial articles, portfolio spreads, interviews, and review essays of craft exhibitions/archives/movements, on the theme of RESONANCE. Deadline to submit: August 1, 2025, 11:59 PM EST. Submit pitches through the Studio Magazine website: https://www.studiomagazine.ca/submission-guidelines. Studio Magazine reviews all pitches, and those that are accepted for publication will be contacted by email. Payment is upon publication.

Theme: RESONANCE

For this issue of Studio, we're examining and questioning: how does craft relate to the world, and how is it used a tool for storytelling/worldmaking? How does craft build relationships between people, communities, generations? What are the connections between materials, and how can they be seen in new ways? What role does history/tradition play in modern craft, and how has craft transformed? How does Canadian craft impact the world, yet build a unique voice?

Topics of interest include:

• Craft traditions and teaching legacies;

• Transformative impacts (medium, material, message);

• Cross-generational links and how knowledge shared and passed down;

• How is craft used as a form of storytelling;

• How does Canadian craft present itself of a world stage, and what makes it unique;

• How does craft function as an act of translation;

• How does craft shift, transform, and overcome boundaries.
