Andrew Baillie, Editor in Chief of Indepocalypse, is looking for pitches:
Want to write about games and developers in Indiepocalypse? (and get paid $200 for it?) You're in luck, I'm currently accepting pitches! Send it via email indiepocalypse@gmail.com with links to your work.
The goal is to better highlight the individual creators that have been featured in Indiepocalypse and add to a growing collection of writing about the games and creators in Indiepocalypse. The hope is that Indiepocalypse becomes not just a place you buy these games but a place you learn about them and their creators, further contributing to a culture of alternative game development. It's also not something I'm capable of doing purely on my own! (I've written other game highlighting features in the past, but events especially have taken that time)
The main details:
Pay: $200
Length: 2 pages or 1k words
Subject: Generally open to most anything so long as it's about Indiepocalypse contributors
The publishing schedule will be largely based on the patreon, with an ideal of 2-3 a moth if the lofty $2,500/month "break even" goal is reached, but likely I will try to publish 1 every other month at the minimum. The features will be in issues of Indiepocalypse as well as on my site. You are also free to post it anywhere else you want, even for pay elsewhere! (assuming I wouldn't need to then unpublish it from my site)

TO HELP YOU CRAFT YOUR PITCH:
Learn more about the publication: Indiepocalypse is a monthly anthology of independent video games that publishes a curated collection of digital and/or physical titles alongside a PDF zine. It covers experimental indie games from diverse developers, each issue featuring about ten games plus commissioned work, with each contributor paid up front and eligible for royalties. Its aim is to provide a low-risk, recurring platform for newer and alternative game creators and to carve out a stronger space for small-press game art. More information here.
