There's just something about all those old kid shows that really get the nostalgia juices flowin' huh? I mean come on, who didn't love the Powerpuff Girls? Or Hey Arnold? Ren and Stimpy, anyone? Look, no matter the show, no matter the art style, we loooove talkin' about cartoons, and I bet there are a few of you that do too! If you know all there is to know about your favorite cartoon, lore, backstories, a couple wacky theories then we'd love to bring you on-board as the newest member of our scriptwriting team!! If cartoons aren't really your thing, but you're a big anime-head, we've also got some availability in that space as well!!

SCRIPTWRITER DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Craft fun and engaging scripts

• Direct the rest of the team to bring a script to life

• Hit deadlines to ensure a consistent flow of content, while still focusing on quality

• String research points together to create compelling narratives

SCRIPTWRITER REQUIREMENTS:

• Establish and maintain a consistent flow of communication between themselves and the channel managers!

• Have a Discord account. We work with people from all over the world, so Discord is our primary method of communication.

• Strong understanding of writing skills (sentence flow, grammar, structure).

• Superb active communication skills, we love to hear updates about your progress throughout.

• Base level understanding of Youtube-specific scriptwriting (viewer engagement, hooks, clip integration).

• Have a malleable voice, being able to take your personal tone and embed it within a desired frame.

• Self-starter

• Team-player, putting videos together is a team effort! The scriptwriters play a vital role in the team.

• Strong time-management skills. Deadlines are of course paramount, but so is quality! Meeting deadlines while still focusing on quality is key.

• Fan of all things cartoon! You, of course, have to have a certain passion for the content you produce!

Money Talk: ~$360 per script on average

Deadline: 7 days per script

Workload: 4-8 scripts per month

To Apply: Alongside your usual application here, we ask that you also fill out this questionnaire. This will send your info and portfolio directly to the lead writer for review. Failing to do this, does not immediately disqualify you, but makes our hiring process tons easier for everyone.

Hiring Process: Our hiring team will personally look through your application, if we're seeing some translatable skills, we'll get in contact through discord! For the sake of transparency, the first step in that hiring process is an unpaid trial write, wherein you put together a brief snippet of a script over Scooby-Doo (for you cartoon folks) or Goku (for you anime-lovers). Further details about this will be provided when we get in contact. This is just used for us to get an idea about what your video would look like (at least on the scripting side of things). Beyond this, it serves to give you a feel for the type of content we're looking to produce! If things are looking golden, we'll get you moved forward!
