Added 2025-09-22 12:59:40 +0000 UTCCOMPANY/PUBLICATION: VOQUENT
Voquent is excited to invite film, television, and video game writers to pitch articles for our platform. We’re looking for your expertise to create stories, features, and insights that focus specifically on voice acting and voiceover, exploring the craft, performance, and impact of voice talent in media.
ABOUT VOQUENT
Voquent is a global voice acting agency and production studio supporting hardworking freelancers. Over 35,000 voice actors have joined our platform for free, with Voquent connecting them to paid opportunities across film, TV, video games, advertising, and more. We champion freelance talent and the craft of voice performance, and now we want to do the same through our online articles – creating a space to celebrate, explore, and inspire the voice acting community.
ARTICLE CATEGORIES
We publish articles in five main sections. Let us know which category your idea fits best in, and familiarise yourself with existing content to refine your pitch:
Production – Behind-the-scenes looks at voice acting and industry processes. Example: Cultural Sensitivity in Educational Dubbing and Translation
Ideas – Thought-provoking discussions on trends, issues, and big conversations in voice acting. Example: What Impact Are Deepfakes Having on Elections?
Guides – Practical how-to articles offering actionable advice for voice actors at all levels. Example: How to Set Up Your Home Studio
Voiceover – All things voice-over with emphasis on human performance. Voquent always champions human talent – so please note that pitches promoting AI voices will never be accepted under any circumstances. Example: Why You Need to Utilise Human Voiceover for Your Next Project
Entertainment – Interviews, podcasts, and deep dives into actors and performances behind films, TV, and video games. Example: Interview – Kellen Goff Reveals the Secrets Behind Your Favourite Characters
TONE, STYLE & ARTICLE GUIDANCE
We’re looking for articles that are:
Authoritative, yet accessible – Inform with confidence whilst remaining engaging.
Well-structured – Use headings and subheadings to guide the reader – please familiarise yourself with how we have done this with our previous articles.
Inclusive – Whilst our audience includes voice actors and industry professionals, articles should appeal to anyone interested in entertainment.
Original and timely – Fresh angles are essential. Examples of the kinds of stories we love:A new or upcoming film with standout narration or exceptional voice acting – analysing techniques or the impact of the voice performances.
A new or ongoing animated TV show – offering a fresh, unique spin on the voice performances or characters.
A big upcoming video game release – exploring the voice cast, their performances, or unique behind-the-scenes insights.
Feature ideas or interviews that provide a distinctive perspective on the craft of voice acting. If your idea involves an interview, please explain how you would go about securing it. We can attempt to help you with securing contact, but it will ultimately be up to you to finalise this.
Opinion and feature-focused – We do not accept review pieces. Articles should explore voice acting from a creative, analytical, or informative perspective, always keeping the human voice at the centre.
(Bonus) SEO-aware – Knowledge of SEO is a bonus; content should reach a wider audience whilst remaining readable.
HOW TO PITCH
Email: pr@voquent.com
Subject line: “PITCH: [your idea]”
Please don’t submit full articles: We’ll confirm the angle together.
Show familiarity: Knowing Voquent’s content and style is essential.
Experience & samples: Please tell us a bit about yourself and your writing experience, as well as providing us with at least two previously published writing samples.
Timeliness & originality: Pitches should be fresh and avoid topics already covered elsewhere.
RATES & PROJECT SCOPE
Our standard rate is 10p per word (£100 for 1,000 words, etc) with potential adjustments for research-heavy articles. As our platform continues to grow and reach a wider audience, we aim to increase contributor rates over time to reward the talent and insight our writers bring.
For now, we are only looking for writers based in the UK, but we are hoping to expand this over time. Please ensure articles are written in British English.
Each project is discussed with our Commissioning Editor, Shivam Chowdhary, and the article length is agreed on a case-by-case basis depending on the piece. For any questions regarding this, you can contact Shivam at shivam@voquent.com.
We looking forward to recieving your pitches!
