The warden is sort of a joke on the actor's (James Lipton, famous for interviews with actors on TV) real-life identity -- it's just what it seems, he's a super fan of movies and video, nothing more than that.
This is just about the only time the "next time on Arrested Development" tag actually shows scenes from the next episode. I suspect that one reason they did this is to let us know immediately that Maggie isn't really blind -- so that viewers won't think the show is making fun of blind people.

Yeah, Arrested Development is all about obsessive compulsive detail, so jumping back and forth and finding/confirming little things is very much in the spirit of the show and fanbase. If anything, being annoyed by pausing seems indicative of someone watching as a market substitute and not for the reaction. That said, I'm actually surprised that showing the whole episode isn't something that Patreon puts the hammer down on (glad that's not the case, of course).

Yeah. For reactors who make you (I don't say make you with a negative connotation!) view your own copy and sync up, obviously it isn't an option. But for someone who let's you (I don't say this a a counter, positive connotation lol, very much neutral comment) see the episode on their release, pausing is viable. Furthermore, while there are some people who don't like pausing at all, which is valid, I would think that most people who are fans of this show would be people who are more likely to be fine with it, or even appreciate it. Especially if it means not talking over dialogue, like some reactors do.

For the record, I'm really glad that you rewind when you miss things. The show's super densely intricate and is basically designed to be especially rewarding on rewatches, so there's no shame in not catching everything the first time. Hell, if you're worried about not having a chance to get a word in, even pausing it might be worthwhile (especially if you don't edit these). Also, you might be overthinking some of it because of how dense it is-- alot of the stuff you're confused about is exactly what it looks like on the surface.

Will Arnett (Gob) and Amy Poehler were actually married in real life at this time, although they have since divorced. And Maggie Lizer is one of the great guest stars of this series, maybe the best.
