Stuff that I am doing - 30/6/17
Added 2017-06-30 08:56:02 +0000 UTCKay, been a bit of a mad week so I haven't managed to get as much done as I would've liked.
I was hoping to get the Oxygen review done for release on Friday but that may have been a bit ambitious of me. I've recorded it but I've only just started drawings. I've got this on camera bit that I need to record that requires some exterior footage. I hope I'll be able to get it done by the end of the weekend for release on Monday. I'll post a link to it on here whenever its finished.
As I posted on Twitter: I started writing a long-requested "Why Rick and Morty is Awesome & Top 10 episodes" video approximately an hour before I saw that season 3 now had an air date, so I'm umming and ahhing about whether to get this done and out before season 3 or wait till after it so I can set it in context of season 3.
In terms of other stuff: Anarchic on Twitter sent me a link to this Doctor Who charity short story anthology that I've decided to submit something to. Its based on Bigfinish's unbound series - a series that asks what if questions about Doctor Who, and my one is "What if Ian and Barbara were the aliens and Susan and the Doctor were the humans?" So yeah wish me luck on that one.
Anyway to make these entries a bit more substantive, I thought I'd start posting ideas I've had for short stories that I haven't done anything with yet/maybe won't I'm not sure. I end up snowballing so many ideas by the end of a week and I may or may not come back to them, so I thought I'd just tell you guys about some of the stuff on my "IDEAS.TXT" notepad document. Here's a couple to get us started:
- "End Credits" - humanity suddenly wakes up and sees the End Credits for mankind scrolling across the sky, but since it goes in order of appearance, the first 1.8 billion years of caveman names just read like grunts and incoherent gibberish. So everyone ignores it for decades as the words scroll by until they start to see real names begin to form.
- "Obligation" - a man sat on a train next to some tired parents with their baby. The parents fall asleep and when they all reach their stop it turns out the parents have died. The police tell the man that since he was the nearest: he's got to take care of the baby now. The man does so, and finds the baby keeps doing dangerous things that may end up getting it killed (eating strange things, touching power lines, etc).
