Stuff that I am doing - 14/07/17

Okay, let's start out with video progress:

I've recorded and mostly edited the audio for the Rick and Morty video, I've just to go through it and rerecord any bits with microphone fuzz. Its probably going to end up at about 18-20 minutes like my Bojack Horseman video. Am planning on doing the drawings tonight, aiming to have it finished by the end of the weekend, but its a lot more work than my HWM videos so I'm not gonna put a guarantee on it. If I get it done by then, I'll post an early access link here like my last two doctor who videos and then release it for everyone else on Monday.

I've watched Pyramid at the end of the world...s'alright, not great, not the worst thing ever....not really a compliment, but its the most positive I've been on a Peter Harness episode....sorry to disappoint anyone anticipating a loud shouty angry review again but I try and be honest. I've recorded a draft of the audio, that should be ready by next Friday, but if not then I'll edit over next weekend, early access link, etc.

Can't remember if I mentioned I've recorded the audio for a video about Dead Like Me. That'll either be directly after Pyramid at the end of the world, or after my 5000 subscribers video, depends when the milestone happens. I've written the 5000 subs video and I'll probably end up recording it in the background of my He Who Moans work for release whenever it happens.

.....I have too many projects.

Anyway I've been thinking a lot more about Broken Systems lately. I randomly came out with a story for it at the end of last week called "The War Against Humanity". Its about a robot family where the Grandpa tells the grandson stories of when he fought in the war with the humans and he gets all the details about the humans wrong, he says they have tails and wings and fangs etc.

First half of the book now looks like this:

1. Be Brave, Printer Old Friend

2. Cutting Edge

3. Automated Incompetence

4. The Internet Always Remembers: A Cautionary Tale for the Digital Age

5. A Beautiful Industry

6. Erased Data

7. A Character in a Broken Videogame

8. The War Against Humanity

With some random stories for the second half dotted here and there.

I seem to be trying to fashion the stories into a timeline of future events where talking appliances and robots start out by become commonplace (Be Brave Printer Old Friend-The Internet Always Remembers), and tensions rise between man and machine until the humans leave the planet and set up shop somewhere else, but they find as they implement new systems and new ways of living their lives without the machines, that they essentially end up becoming like the machines that they despise. Its been a bloody difficult book to write, I had no idea I'd end up with something this complicated when I first had that idea about a talking printer back in late 2014.

Current word count is 35'000. Its taken me a while but I think I'm finally starting to crack what's gonna make this thing work. Probably gonna try and ease off on the writing side of things for the next week or so and get submitting again. I need to get better at the business side of things.

Anyway, happy Friday everyone :)
