Stuff that I am doing - 25/08/17

Hi everyone

My story got accepted! Contracts haven't happened yet so I'm not gonna give ya all the details yet but its a short story anthology about issues raised in the wake of Trump's election. Its a small publisher in the US so you're not gonna be seeing it in UK bookstores or anything but its a paying gig with royalties and the first paid writing gig I've ever had! And its in print and given all aspiring writers dream of seeing their name in a book I'm over the fucking moon about it. You will hear more about this in the coming months, the guy said they were aiming for publication around October.

In other short story news, I've mostly spent this week finishing up on that submission I mentioned a few entries back for a Doctor Who charity anthology. Its the one based on the Big Finish unbound universe asking "what if?" Doctor Who questions and mine is "What if Susan and the Doctor were the humans and Ian and Barbara were the aliens?" - And I've basically tried to write it as an inverse mirror image of An Unearthly Child part 1. (Watch this space: The Living Flesh Supercomputer WILL BE CANON ONE DAY!! :p)

Anyway I've also filmed and recorded V/O for my video about Rob Shearman books, if you follow me on Twitter you'll have seen a posted a picture from it. This may end up taking a bit longer than expected but I'll try and have it out before the end of August. I'm having so much fun doing drawings on this one. Early access link on here when its ready.

That should keep me busy for a while. I'm also trying to teach myself how to use Flash again whenever I get the chance to sit down and have a go at it. I'm hoping to do some more ambitious animated bits in my next Class video (my next one is gonna be #7 by the way because as I've mentioned before, I've got someone working on #6 for me)

Speaking of which, I've seen some early tests from the guy I've got working on Class#6 - I've let him go all out on it and it looks wildly different to usual but sooo sooo good. Not sure when he's gonna be finished but I'm not pressuring him on it.
