Stuff that I am doing - 13/10/17
Added 2017-10-13 09:45:56 +0000 UTC...what did I say last week again?
Oh yeah: so its mostly been a week spent on drawing Class#6. I've recorded the audio and Jesus Christ the pictures for this thing are taking forever. This one's probably gonna be a little bit longer as there's more elements to it. Y'know how in my Class videos the structure is usually:
-Calm opening
-Unsettling incident
-Contrast turns down
-Extreme violence
-Jokey ending
Weeeeell this one's got a bit more build up than most and its not totally focused on the extreme violence (oh it does have the extreme violence but its a bit more character focused than usual).
I'm looking to get pictures done by the end of the weekend so I can begin assembly over the course of next week. My estimate of when this'll be finished is around the 21st, so that'll give me a good amount of time left in the month to get some other stuff together before Halloween comes and I release this bastard.
(note to Thomas if he's reading: you may be the subject of said Extreme violence in this video....my apologies in advance ;P)
On the story front, I've seen a version of the cover art for the anthology I'm in and its looking pretty damn sharp. Hoping they can get it out before Trump gets removed from the White House for being a fucking dangerous lunatic...I mean of course preventing World War Three is more important than the book I'm in of course, naturally, naturally.
I've also written another short story over the last couple of weeks, and this one DOES fit with Broken Systems. Hooray!!! Finally!! My useless twat of a brain's actually come out with something!! Its called "The Gravedigger" and its a lot more autumnal than previous stories you've seen from me. Its set in a world where when a breadwinner in a poor working class family dies they can have their body mechanically engineered so they can keep on working after death to financially support the family - they sorta become like robotically engineered zombies. Its told from a working class father's daughter's perspective. The general running theme of Broken Systems appears to be the blurring of the lines between man and machine. Y'know how in Be Brave Printer Old Friend and Internet Always Remembers, I have this weird fascination with making robots look sound and act human-like? I think that's what I'm trying to say with this book: the way we've grown to exist in the 21st century is essentially turning man into a machine. We act like machines executing a programme on a daily basis as we go about our normal everyday routines.
On the TV reviews front: I've left my Bojack video alone for the duration of the Class project since I don't get a whole lot of time at home to work on videos, drawing the class one has been taking precedence. I have all the episodes downloaded so it shouldn't be too tough to put together once I'm finished with the Class project.
I've also written a new TV Dissection which I dunno if i'll get time to do this year. Its a retrospective look at this new wave of naked reality shows that've sprung up (not in that way) in recent years. Including Naked Attraction (obvs), Naked & Afraid and that weird Life Stripped Bare experiment that Channel 4 did recently. I want TV Dissection to cover a wide range of present day televisual trends and seeing how naked TV formats always trend on Twitter, its pretty much neccessary that I discuss the cyncism I see behind them.
....that and it'll probably get loads of clicks because fucking ANYTHING with the word naked in the title gets clicks and I am a slave to my view counter and fuck I amamassiveselloutihatemyselfaaaaaarghhh
Anyway, Happy Friday people :)

Someone called Thomas is the victim of extreme violence? Should I be afraid for my future, or should I hope there is another Thomas.
