Kay, not much to report this time, mostly been spending the week on this year's Blunt Guide to British Christmas TV. Just finished it, you can go watch it in early access here:

Anyway in other news, I had a drink with Rob (Shearman) last Friday and he gave me some more advice on the story front. I think I've got a bit more direction and more of an idea what I'm doing with that story I mentioned a few entries ago about the man who has an emergency layover in a country he's never heard of. Its gonna be a long one, no idea when I'll be finished.

Oh and I also sort of accidentally stumbled across a tiny story idea when I was thinking about replaying some old video games from my childhood, and that sorta crossed paths with thoughts about Roy Moore losing that special election in Alabama.

Okay: in this old Gameboy Zelda game I used to play when I was a kid called Link's Awakening: if you steal an item from the shop, your name gets changed to "thief" for the rest of the game and you can't change it back. So my thinking was: a world where everyone's name is changed to whatever crime they've committed the second they've committed it for the rest of your life. So like your name gets changed to "Shoplifter Smith" if you commit shoplifting, and there's a guy running for President in this universe literally called "Rapist Johnson" and people are going "weeeeell, I mean he's a Rapist, sure, but the other candidate's called "Gail Richards" I don't trust a politician that's still got their own name".

...yeah I'm probably gonna struggle to sell that, but here's hoping.
