Stuff that I am doing - 11/05/18
Added 2018-05-11 08:25:37 +0000 UTCHey everyone. First up, I've finished my Inside no. 9 video, you can go watch it here:
Next, another reminder to $5 patrons that if you'd like a caricature in a video, the email to send pictures to is stubagful@gmail.com (Unsolicited nudes not appreciated :p)
I mention this because I'm looking at finishing my next and final video for May next week so I can spend the rest of the month on prep work for Class#8, so if you don't get em in soon you're gonna have to wait until next month for your debut. The video in question is the video essay I've mentioned a few times now about the rise and fall of Little Britain. I've got this idea for a picture where I've got one of my patrons who's hooked Lou and Andy into this human milking machine and its milked them to the bone so they're these weird skeleton-like imitations of their former selves....trust me this works in context.
Anyway in other news: my copy of Bigfinish 10th doctor adventures vol 2 came through this week. I have an idea for a new live-action intro sequence specifically for Big finish videos. I'm gonna try and get it shot at the weekend and get it posted on patreon before I start work on the actual video itself so stay tuned for that. Fingers crossed it works.
On the short story front: I've been doing surprisingly well lately. I had two new ideas this week (yeah not stories I had the idea for ages ago and was mulling over for a while, actual new ones and everything) and got a full draft out of one and most of a draft out of the other! Have got a target submission in mind for one already.
This first one's about a games journalist at a convention who discovers a VR project which simulates what its like to be a corpse. He's in the coffin at a virtual reality funeral and once he's lowered in, he's given disturbingly realistic visions of what lies beyond death. I know its a bit creepypasty but I enjoyed writing it and I had fun trying to get out of the obvious idea for the ending where he leaves the exhibition, comes back and its vanished and an x-files sound effect plays cause that would be the obvious end of the story....no, haven't done that, bad brain, bad idea!!
The second one's called "Life in the Crashed World" and its another political one (3 guesses which publisher I'm submitting this to). On Trump's inauguration day: reality has a blue screen of death and suddenly up and down the country: entire cities and public facilities glitch out of existence into a void of blue and the sky is filled with TV static. As said, am in draft stage and its hard to put this one into a simple description but I've had fun working on the imagery.
So, yeah all in all: a pretty productive week. I'll try and get the next Chibnall commentary up by the end of the weekend. We've now renamed the project "Snuggly Chibnall Time" cause Billy's taken to partaking in these commentaries while tucked up in bed (d'aww int he the cutest? :p) We did 42 last weekend, so I've just got that and the End of Days one to prepare and then we're back to Torchwood season 2, aka the good Chris Chibnall episodes......good Chris Chibnall episodes, wow that's gonna be weird.
Anyway, happy Friday everyone :)
