Stuff that I am doing - 13/10/18

As I mentioned before, don't expect these to be that punctual. I may do the second one this month, it depends. I enjoy varying my content and given Doctor Who's come late in the year, I don't think rushing all ten episodes plus xmas special over the last couple of months of 2018 would be the best strategy. I think I'm gonna do what I did during season 10, one HWM, one other, one HWM, one other etc, so let's talk about my plans for others.

I think Class #8 is going to be the last Class video I make this year. The further down the line with it I am, the more its feeling like a season finale (that and they take ages anyway, so I doubt I have time for more). I finished a few little scenes that're between 60 and 90 seconds each last weekend and I've just got the rather complicated resolution and the little coda to do (ooh coda, its like its a proper series and everything :p)

I know I said I have a script for a ninth, but I'm still umming and ahhing about whether to do a second series of class or a sequel series in a new setting, cause I have left a fair few loose ends. Its just that 8 is really feeling like the finale this series was supposed to have, so it makes more sense for it to be one. I'm still aiming for a Halloween release date and given where I am in production, it seems doable. There'll probably be some long-term planning for the future after I'm done, I'm not finished with Lisa or the Living Flesh Supercomputer yet. (Yes I did name her after Lisa Simpson.)

Anyway in terms of other stuff I'm gonna try and post in-between HWM series 11 reviews in the coming months:

I seem to be approaching 10k subs at breakneck speed at the moment. I've had a huge influx of subs since the Bojack Horseman season 5 video (it broke into my top 20 most viewed in one bloody week!!) so I'm gonna need to start getting down to work on that idea for "Popular Content week" I mentioned last time. I was expecting it to happen in the new year but at this rate, who knows, may end up needing to happen within the next month or two. I have 5/7 scripted. and they're all between 2 and 5 minutes each.

Another thing I've been thinking about, this being very much related to the Bojack Horseman videos, all three of which seem to have really connected to people (that and I am a slave to view counters) - I've been thinking about doing more reviews of Netflix cartoons and other animated stuff and seeing what clicks. Its very random, my Bojack videos get loads of views, Rick and Morty ones don't, I don't get it. I tried that Netflix show Hilda, that was pretty decent. That and I've been considering a Futurama retrospective from birth to death as that's a show that's stayed with me for a significant chunk of my life.

Also: I think I've finally finished a script for a video about 13 reasons why. I've been trying to write down my thoughts on it ever since I saw the first series about a month after it came out, but it always came out sounding wrong and I'm very very conflicted on it because depression and mental health are topics that are way too close for me. I may need to think on it a bit more, probably a video for the new year more than right now.

Also...I've had an idea for something very controversial....A TV Dissection video about Breaking Bad. ......I do like it for the record, I just don't think its the greatest show ever like everyone says it was. I explained my opinion to Rob last time I had a drink with him (he loves it for the record) and he took it as viable and said "yeah that's fair". Not to say its Rob's fault if I go ahead and make this video and I get crucified for it of course, but I find it reassuring for him to call the reasoning behind my opinion fair.

But yeah that might happen, depends how brave I'm feeling.

Anyway that's where I am at the moment with the stuff that comes out of my brainplace writingwords.
