In case you haven't tried my next upcoming game a69. It's a lot more free in it's structure compared to PL's linear style. Because of this freedom, I can much more easily introduce new characters and such into the game. My idea is that it'd be kind of fun to have a character whose story is near entirely controlled by you guys.
Idea still a bit WIP but here's how I see it going down. There's a couple of these characters YOU as the patron can decide from. You pick the character you'd want the scene to be for, you come up with a scene idea for said character and I add a synopsis of your idea to a poll. And let's say the top 2 voted ideas get made into actual in game scenes each update cycle.
Let me know what you guys think of this. As I said, it's still very much WIP as an idea, so if you have anything to add (or subtract) to the idea, then don't hesitate to let me know now.
