2023-11-07 01:51:37 +0000 UTCI had to look this up to make sure my memory was correct, but I remember the "Dingoes ate my baby" story, it was worldwide news. But the big thing about it was no one believed the mother at the time. She was tried for murder, convicted, and sentenced to life in prison. It wasn't until years later that the baby's jacket was discovered near a bunch of dingo dens that she was exonerated and released from prison. But what a nightmare! Can you imagine seeing your daughter carried off by a dingo, and then being sentenced to life in prison because no one believed you? What absolute hell to go through. Dingoes have killed kids on rare occasions. I think the most recent was Clinton Gage, age 9, in 2001.
