Emerging Victorious

Hello again, it is officially august! We made it this far, I also have been busy this week on some commissions! :D I managed to finally settle down long enough to sort out this super fun "pinup" Firon commissioned some time ago now, and has been in my WIP folder for what feels like an age.

I'd been craving some gold and opal textures, the opulence of iridescence, some hot subject matter...*ahem* WELL YES :D Here we have Kulve Taroth, a creature from Monster Hunter, in solo and with the very blue-est of company - Firon seems to have gone into battle in his skivvies, you silly lad - except, I think both of them somehow won this battle. A tie maybe? ;D

I knew I would enjoy illustrating such a scene, I'm pleased with the background in this one despite it mostly being a kind of "filler" material around this gorgeous dragon. I did take some liberties on this design, especially since the original I think is supposed to be female?

I figured, what would a boy look like, if the female is so decorously golden and bejeweled? My thought is, that opal is always on show - attracting his mates with the depth and shimmer of his opal colours. :D 

Also, those horns were like, sixteen math problems and a few choice words to make - SO thankful to be over that mountain, on the other side lookin' back haha

For this one, I have included a PSD copy - it's 2000px on the longest side, since my working copy of 5000px was too large for patreon to support me uploading? :D Alas, it's big enough to see and small enough no break the byte-bank. <3 Doing all these layers and making sure all the different versions were compatible was a great exercise, I'm hoping it will be a time saving device for future works!

It is done for now, though there will eventually be a SFW print version I will upload at a later date when it is complete! Hope you all are doing alright, and thanks so much for stickin' around! I'll post another update this week, possibly two - all larger works this month ~
