Just a Quick text Update :[20.07.2024]:

I'm making this post largely because I'm rather aware at this point that months can go by without any update from me on this patreon, and although that usually is NOT an indication that I am absent, it doesn't help to clear people's notions as to what exactly is going on in the background when I'm not releasing anything, etc.

Thanks to the positive reception to the previous update and my own wishes, I will definitely be using that prototype [2D sprites in 3D areas] as a basis, but that's also where the rest of work begins.

Development of Battletits is back on the Art segments (again, UGH), and unfortunately this is the most time consuming part for me at the moment, but once the essentials have been taken care of things should be far more smooth sailing from that point forwards. Once I've gotten to a far enough point on this particular area, I can then think about what I wanna ship after that initial point.

*No pictures to show at the moment, I've had to start from the top a few times and toying around with different styles and ideas so it's a little too workshoppy at the moment for any decent previews.

The whole Ivy idea is on the backburner atm, not that I'm against crossover's, it's just that implementing those designs and the outfits/clothing themselves is the challenging part for me, they are VERY intricate, and I need some decent baselines first preferrably of neutral characters.

I've considered doing this idea with a different/original character, because already established characters have their own outfits/designs and I think the complexity of that is maybe what is interfering with me being able to follow through on that. Thus, early builds are likely to most likely have some sort of template character if I do go down that road, in order to avoid the Character creation route until I'm ABSOLUTELY ready.

That said, I am not blessed well with the power of clairvoyance, so the future is still somewhat an unknown, but what IS certain (at the moment) is that progress continues, slowly but surely.


I'm also developing/Colluding art for a Codex/Book which contains artwork and exposition of the world the game takes place in and the game itself that can also be opened from within the game itself, sort of like a meta encyclopedia of game mechanics, races, factions, locations, items, transformatives, etc etc -- all complete with appropriate pictures. This might get released earlier as a standalone depending on my workflow.

Either way, progress is ongoing, but due to the large amount of art and content that needs to be made and that is still fairly early on in the pipeline, it is fairly arduous..
