2019-05-25 05:18:54 +0000 UTCIf you are a Buffy fan, youve probably enjoyed Firefly, and I watched this episode not long after Serenity, so the idea of a mutated 'bliss' virus wiping out an entire planet felt a little too familiar.

2019-05-19 20:09:27 +0000 UTCThe premise was no more far fetched than most seen in this show or any other sci fi show up to this point. The people had no choice, but to accept their fate down there. They were quite literally stuck, there was nothing they could do. As you pointed out yourself, the fumes would've chocked them. Besides, it had been DECADES since they had been stuck. It's not like we joined them right after the virus broke out. It would've been far fetched for the people to be so calm if that had been the case. They had a lot of time to get used to the way things were. On top of that they had the automated system running things to create the illusion that the government was still working to get them out. I think they did a very good job of building this world personally.
