Absolutely, Taz, thank you for being so supportive! :-) I always find it fascinating to watch reactions and see why a character (story/show/etc) does or doesn't resonate with the reactor. I think I was more concerned about my unfiltered comments during the reaction itself - I do try to be diplomatic (yet honest!) in the post-episode commentary, but during the reaction there's just no filter LOL

I think if I'd known more history about him, the whole thing might have landed differently with me. (Maybe?) Heehee...I think that all of us who watch reactions are okay with the differences in opinions and likes/dislikes of characters, but I was nervous more about the, uh, frankness of my comments during the actual reactions? LOL - I have a filter when I discuss the episode afterwards, but during the reaction stuff just kinda spills out. Sometimes I go to edit these things and think, "did I really say that out loud?" 🤣

I think the best way to relate it for me is MCU vs DCEU. This version of the Master is for a certain segment of fans. That is the beauty of Doctor Who we can all feel the way we feel and both be right and wrong at the same time. Remember this is your journey and some of us are thankful to be along for the ride. 2019-06-28 12:17:21 +0000 UTCThe Master is one of the most iconic and most loved DW characters ever. Specifically this version of the Master is very popular, considered second only to the original (played by Roger Delgado) from what I've seen. Delgado and Simm are definitely my top two favourite Masters. However, the Master is still a villain, so if you're not liking him and don't find him funny that means he's doing a good job. Don't know why you'd think we'd have a problem with you saying that? Although, I will say that I personally do find the Master funny in a very OTT kind of way. It's no biggie if you don't though.
