I think that, like everybody here and on YouTube, Taz is free to post any (non-spoilery!) comments and opinions about the show. Again, I can't speak to this Buffy/Moffat-era issue because I haven't seen the Moffat-era yet...funnily enough, people have commented that Buffy was a huge influence on RTD with Doctor Who, but I haven't even analyzed that yet because I'm not even done with the RTD-era. 😜 A lot of people, both on YouTube and here, post who their favorite Doctors are, what their favorites series were, who their fave writers are, etc., and I don't feel like it's a push to make me like one thing (season/Doctor) more than another. I just take it at face value - they are expressing opinions. It doesn't influence me one way or another in my own response to the show, so no worries about that. I just hope everybody here feels free to post their opinions as long as they're respectful...and, of course, non-spoilery.

That's so weird - I don't know what happened to that comment! Thank you for reposting it.

none of this is true and once again someone gives you their answer and you ignore it for your talking points. I don't like engaging you, so if you could please leave my name out of your comments, that would be appreciated. I am not going to respond back after this, so please just do me this small favor and move on. You are allowed your opinion, just as everyone else is allowed theirs and we should all learn to appreciate others feelings. The Reactor has told you how she felt and you dismiss that because "you feel differently". This is not your board alone, this is a shared space, so please you don't ever have to agree with anyone but try and respect the fact that others have a right to feel a way about something even if you don't agree. These are opinions, please respect different views or not, your choice, but if you don't please stop using my name in your response. Thank you in advance seeing though this is not the start of a conversation but an ask for you to not try and bully the comment section (my opinion on the matter, yours can be whatever it wishes). No response necessary, I will not be engaging you any further on this site or any other.

My reply: Taz Sims has been drawing direct comparisons between the Moffat era and Buffy stylistically, a show I know you're a big fan of. Taz Sims is going about it cleverly, but they're clearly trying to indicate to you that you'll prefer Moffat's era more by drawing these comparisons. Of course, I don't know much of anything about that show to speak on any similarities it may or may not have with Moffat's era. That's something you'll have to determine yourself with your ability to compare the shows because you'll have seen them both. It doesn't help that they are also asserting that most people always end up preferring the Moffat era if they started watching Modern Who without ever having seen classic Who. Another clever way to tell you that you'll prefer Moffat's era. Never mind that it's a ridiculous and highly far fetched claim that no one could possibly prove. It's also a terribly simplistic theory that's obviously more projecting one's own opinions and experience on to others, than it is grounded in any reality. I watched all of modern Who before I ever watched classic Who and I still preferred the RTD era back then. However, I'm also well aware that there are many that did the same as me, but still ended up preferring Moffat's era and visa versa. Things are not as black and white as Taz Sims seems to think. Taz Sims' whole theory is shattered by the fact that the viewing figures were at their highest during the RTD era. With all that being said, I guess I should be happy that Taz Sims' attempts to influence you haven't seemed to work.

Fourth Wall Reactions- It's weird because I got an email notification from you, but I can't seem to read the comment on your Patreon page. So I'll just repost your comment here and then my response to it. Your comment: I understand what you're saying, and I don't feel like anybody has been trying to influence me one way or another. It's always fascinating, I think, to see how a showrunner change affects a show. This is the first RTD show I've seen (I think!) and I do have some familiarity with Moffat from watching "Sherlock", but I'm sure that each series of Doctor Who is a unique experience. Having said that, I don't know when the switch occurs (and I don't want to know in advance) so hopefully I'll be surprised if there's a drastic shift in tone. It's fortunate that Moffat already wrote for the show, so maybe that's a plus. Excited to find out! :-) Thanks!
