Poppy was a psycho in life and I think she continues to be one in death. Her husband met her in the insane asylum. I think Poppy must have killed her own children based on how she was describing their deaths, poisoned them like she was telling Olivia to do to her kids. I guess the question is if the house pushed Poppy to do it or if her own insanity made her do it. I think you're right in that Olivia is sensitive to the supernatural, like she told Theo the women in their family often where. It made her so vulnerable to the house . Steve's insistence that she was insane is understandable from his POV because of all he saw. And she was out of her mind by the end, just driven there by Poppy. :(

And I've said it before, but will never tire of saying, the kids playing young Nell and Luke are amazing and deserve an award on their own. Their dream speech to their mum is compelling, disturbing and utterly convincing.
