I just realized that Buffys worst episode also had rapid plant growth. Those plants have a lot to answer for.

I agree, if something was cut for time that helped the ending make sense, I would have loved to see it.

2020-08-14 07:20:48 +0000 UTCEasily one of the worst episodes of Doctor Who. Definitely one of the top worst ones. Possibly number one for me. I genuinely have nothing positive to say about this one. So many issues with this one. A lot of annoying kid characters, The Doctor and Clara are also completely out of character here. Danny was very annoying here too. The ending also makes no sense. The scenario was just very unconvincing and unengaging that it really took me out of the story. There's no threat, the medication thing is very questionable, the way Clara and Danny handled the kids makes me wonder how they even became teachers, Clara telling the Doctor to abandon the kids was very weird and the premise is just dull. The lack of creativity and lack of presence of people just sucks me out of it. Great reaction as always though. I always appreciate how you can find the good aspects in these stories. But this story is one of the worst for me lmao.

Did they lead her there and then hide her because they have a sense of surprise? They really would had to be thinking ahead a bit much. Maybe they writers got to the end of the episode and had no way to resolve that subplot, so just had her 'turn up'. Yes that seems much more like it. Maybe something got cut for time that explained it, but really in a show that gets so much of its energy from sheer imagination, this sticks out like a sore thumb in that it doesnt use any.
