Your reaction to the sandwich was just the best. I remember watching that one live and just cheering at my tv. You should rewatch the scene where they're talking about the box and Simmons tells Fitz that he should go. But watch it now with the knowledge that they're working together. You'll definitely hear the subtext in that converation now :)

2020-08-21 13:46:44 +0000 UTCi was just super emotional over the end of the show again so it made me so happy to see this posted! this episode is full of some really good stuff. dont worry about eddie. it was an icer. heβs just taking a lil nap lol. i love the coulson & hunter team up. theyβre such a great comedic duo. and the addition of mike just makes it even better. remember earlier in the season when cal told whitehall he wanted to be reunited with his family in the afterlife? π kinda shines a new light on that now. itβs such a gorgeous place, i love all the outdoor scenes we get in that setting. but i do totally understand the cult vibes lol. lincoln isnβt hiding much from skye as far as weβve seen. yeah, he didnt tell her that raina was there but that was about trying to keep things calm and safe. if you look at it from his perspective he doesnt know raina like skye does. he doesnt know her past. his job at afterlife is to help their people through their transition and give them a chance at new life basically, to protect the people in his care, so both skye /and/ raina. to clarify his position, think of him as kind of like the equivalent to a camp counselor. heβs not in a head role like gordon or jiaying, but he has a specific job to do to help people like skye and raina. heβs someone whoβs closer to a peer to them but heβs still part of the βstaffβ, not just one of the descendants or whatever staying there. whether or not he's really someone skye can trust... Β―\_(γ)_/Β― to simplify how gordon explained it, skyeβs power is vibration manipulation. everything in the world is vibrating at its own frequency and the idea is that (if she can control it) she can tap into those vibrations and manipulate them. which is why when itβs out of control and she gets upset things start to shake. shes just uncontrollably amplifying the vibrations all around her. in that confrontation with raina she was basically shaking her from the inside out, which i imagine cant be awesome for like your organs and such if done for too long. cal is kind of hilarious. of course heβs legitimately dangerous when he wants to be, but everything about how he acts is so goofy itβs hard not to giggle at him. which is kind of funny given what a tragic character he really is if you think about it. i feel bad that he cant see skye but it also makes sense. imagine how painful it would be for jiaying though, to have to say to your child that if they dont feel a connection then you never have to see each other again. to have your long lost daughter so close and not be able to reach her. oof. loooove the fitzsimmons content so much!! gonzalez is upset theyβre more loyal to coulson than shield but if you ask me, loyalty to a man you know and have been through countless crises with is better than loyalty to just an organization.
