2020-10-01 04:19:33 +0000 UTCWhile I don't actively dislike series 4, as many others seem to, it doesn't really feel like Torchwood to me (which is what most people complain about). The themes and concepts of this story, though, are really interesting, and you will find they explore the consequences of people not dying quite thoroughly. My main complaint with the story is that it should and could have been shorter - what they take 10 episodes for could have been done in 6. There's just a bit too much padding for my liking. However, Gwen and Jack are great as usual, as is Ester. But i find Rex a little too annoying most of the time. And there are some seriously loathsome villians/antagonists. Once you finish Torchwood, though, I truly hope you will move on to The Sarah Jane Adventures. A completely different take for a Doctor Who spinoff, and something of a palette cleanser after the often traumatic themes of Torchwood.
