The Doctor punching the racist was one of the best things to happen in this episode. I loved that so much. This episode continues to develop the relationship with Bill and The Doctor in a very meaningful way. I really liked Bill's reaction to The Doctor letting the child die and being angry with him. They get to understand each other more by the end which is nice.

2020-11-16 07:33:42 +0000 UTCThere really was an elephant on the Thames at the last of the Great Frost Fairs- 'The ice was thick enough to support printing presses churning out souvenirs. Oxen were roasted in front of roaring fires, drink was liberally taken and dances were held. An elephant was marched across the river alongside Blackfriars Bridge.' I really enjoy this one, its a fun romp on the surface but under the hood its touching on some deep issues and has some great character building moments for the Doctor/Bill releationship.
