The show got to play with history some in this episode. The real Woodes Rogers blockaded the port of Nassau and pirates had to either accept a pardon or be hung. The real Charles Vane sailed a burning ship into his line and escaped with other pirates who refused the pardons. The Maroon camps were also an interesting part of Caribbean history.
