Right? It's always more interesting when the villain has an actual point, and I do think that from her perspective she thought she was right about the Doctor, but objectively there's no way around the fact that she was killing people and because of that, was undeserving of his help. Villains! (smh)

2019-12-06 07:39:29 +0000 UTCOh sure, and there are plenty of fun moments. And its a testement to the shows general creativity that when one thing doesnt feel fresh it sticks out a fair bit, while many other shows fall back on formula week after week.

2019-11-24 10:45:14 +0000 UTCHelen McCrory, a great female villain. We don’t get a lot of those in Doctor Who, and she was great and well written. I think the Doctor might have actually helped her race, somehow, if she hadn’t been killing people. Villains always seem to miss that part when they blame the Doctor for everything.

2019-11-23 21:31:15 +0000 UTCI’m not contradicting you. I get why people could see the ending as too simplistic despite the fact that Amy and Rory mess up the primary generator in the chair. But I just move on when this happens because often, a huge part of the budget is spent on the bigger episodes, and time restraints also can come into play.

Like the setting, like the subversion of a familiar threat into something new, but other than that its a bit by the numbers, and at this point it feels like the Doctor climbing something to dectivate something at the end is officially 'done', after this, Idiots Lantern and Evolution otD.
