The Silurians were first introduced to the Third Doctor in an episode titled “Doctor Who and the Silurians”: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Doctor_Who_and_the_Silurians btw … this episode takes place in the Welsh hamlet of Cwmtaff in 2020 so drilling should begin anytime now ;<)
