Fun little piece of trivia...back in Forest of the Dead (4x09, part two of the first story with River), she said to one of her crew that Tennant was *the* Doctor, but not *her* Doctor, and that she'd "seen whole armies turn and run away, and he'd just swagger off...". I doubt it was written or planned at the time, but many of us like to think that his speech on the rock that scatters the entire fleet of ships in this episode is what River was thinking back to when she said that in Series 4. It's basically considered canon amongst fans from what I've read.
