I'm with you on the spider-fear, too! They are my second runner-up on the list of horrors. I really loved how Christmas-y this episode was, and it was such a special thing to watch this holiday. I can't wait to start watching all the behind-the-scenes stuff - I will look out for that one, thanks! :-)

Sorry about the shark thing, I think everyone has something like that, mine is spiders. This is in my top two Christmas specials. On the DVD, they have a behind the scenes episode showing how it was made; the table readings, the beautiful sets, the direction, among other things. The direction in this one is outstanding. The song Abigail sings at the end, was written especially for this episode by Murray Gold, the show’s awesome composer. I once listened to a podcast where the guest had lost his wife a few short years previously, said this episode was dear to him; it made him appreciate all the time he had with her. I always find those stories, and there are many if you look for them, one of the best things about art and media. Great episode!
