Didn't enjoy this, I know it was a Xmas special but the fantasy and SciFi aspects just didn't gel and the whole feminism thing was so heavy handed and clunky it destroyed the empathy and emotion for me.

2020-03-14 23:44:38 +0000 UTCAs others have pointed out, series 7 is a little complicated, with the Christmas special in the middle and the 50th anniversary special at the end proceeding the next Christmas special. Leading into the 50th anniversary special, and in order to get the full anniversary experience, you may want to consider watching at least one or two Classic Who episodes/stories, especially the very first episode from 1963 "An Unearthly Child". There is also "An Adventure in Space and Time", written by Mark Gattis, which came out for the 50th anniversary and tells the story of the origins of Doctor Who.
