Now for the small stuff...
Today some dude decided to go into one of my older DW videos (where mods are not focused) on YouTube to spoil me on Torchwood. Pretty big spoilers for S2 regarding Tosh and Owen, so I'm honestly not sure where I stand with that show at the moment. And recently I've had people who don't follow me on Twitter seek me out there to give "hints" about upcoming Doctor Who episodes, which contributed to spoiling "Day of the Doctor" (though there may still be some surprises, I don't know. We'll see when we get there.)
I've just gone through all my Patreon posts to privatize any public posts so they can't do that to me here, too. Honestly, patron comments are the only ones I can safely read these days. Out of an abundance of caution, it's worth reminding some folks that I really appreciate no hints about upcoming episodes - it can be really easy for unintentional info to slip in sometimes. But I am certain that nobody here is intentionally doing anything like what's happening elsewhere, and I'm so thankful for that. All of you are investing in this community and its content, and I know that you have no interest in seeing that content spoiled, and for that I am very, very grateful!! 🙏

I thought about muting "doctor who" and other words, but then I worried that I wouldn't be able to see responses with legit questions or comments. Twitter is tricky, with accounts having to be either 100% public or 100% private. Right now I'm only looking at replies from followers or people I've talked with before.

2020-03-21 14:45:36 +0000 UTCI think that's just because the viewers change. I've had a lot of people join Patreon once Smith took over, but a bunch of people leave after Tennant left. I don't feel like anybody here has spoiled me. The majority of things that I get spoiled on are when people do that "hinting" thing, and they think they're being clever, but eventually all those dots connect & I get spoiled. Most of it is accidental. This Torchwood thing was flat-out blatant, though, and it was from a new viewer to the YouTube channel. He got blocked. Grrr. Argh.

2020-03-20 19:26:57 +0000 UTCI am not here to point fingers or to accuse anyone of anything, but it always seems amazing the time correlation on when a Reactor gets spoiled on things and how some of the people who comment constantly no longer comment as much, I am just going by some of the other Reactors this exact thing has happened to. (Sesskasays/Fandom/etc. etc). Could of course just be my conspiracy idled mind.

I would absolutely recommend completely avoiding the comment sections for Doctor Who videos until you're further ahead. I personally also wouldn't mind being appointed as an additional mod for your Doctor Who videos if necessary. As for Twitter, do you think muting any "Doctor Who" related words would help in some way?
