"Nothing makes people more suspicious than a handsome man offering them free money."

I watch along with Netflix and it was definitely there. I'm not sure why it wasn't for you. Strange.

Hmmm it should definitely be in the Netflix version. Perhaps we could give you a list of episodes that don't have a stinger (there are very few that don't have one, even with 2-parters)? That gets into a bit of spoiler territory though, so your call.

It went straight to the credits on this episode; I assumed it was because it was a two-parter. At least that's what Netflix showed - wonder if it's something they cut out?

Thanks Kevin! I'm really enjoying this show so far. I really loved all of the unspoken dynamics in this episode, like the ones you pointed out, particularly Coulson's scenes. I feel like I'm being told a bit of his story between the lines, with just the tone of his voice. Great stuff!

Oh yeah, missed the stinger at the end. Always remember - keep going until you see credits :)

Pssst... you stopped a minute too soon. :)

Thank you for choosing to watch SHIELD. It’s such a pleasure reliving these stories with you. Some TV shows start off as if the writers are getting to know the characters as the story unfolds. But with SHIELD since episode one, it’s my feeling the characters are all fully conceived. I know that’s not just the writing, but the actors pulling it off as well. I like Ward’s line: “I’m not some recruit who can’t separate church from state.” Clearly it was May not Ward who was starting to form an emotional attachment. In the next scene she reprimands Skye for letting personal concerns distract her from the mission, but this comes across, to me at least, as May’s issue not Skye’s. This is followed by Coulson telling Mike how precious personal attachments are. I think this highlights the Ward-May dynamic. Ward really does seem able to compartmentalize his feelings. May wants to, but she might not be as good at that it as she seems. And maybe it isn’t a good idea to begin with because it comes at such a cost. There’s personal sorrow in Coulson’s voice when he’s talking to Mike about the decision between being a father or a SHIELD agent. Although Coulson tells his agents to focus on the mission, he always seems to go with his heart because he cares so much. Coulson and Skye seem to have that passion in common. Meanwhile, we have Fitz and Simmons who seem determined not to confront their feelings for one another…..
