Thanks Lisa! I hope you're doing well, too - such a crazy time in the world. :-( I've been fascinated by how the "good guys" are portrayed here. (Jon Hamm was perfectly cast.) Not as nice as we've all been led to believe! At least the bad guys are honest about themselves...for the most part...lol I'm loving this series. It's really excellent!

2020-04-12 07:00:48 +0000 UTCIn episode 2, when we first meet Anathema, her mother asks her about two prophecies - the apple that no man can eat, and one that’s not explained at the time. I’ll quote part of it in modern English, because Agnes Nutter was a terrible speller. “Four shall ride and three shall ride the sky as two and one shall ride in flame” This is the four Horsemen, Madame Tracy/Aziraphale and Shadwell on a flying miracle scooter, and of course, Crowley and the Bentley. I honestly don’t think Aziraphale understood that Crowley meant HIM when he said he lost his best friend. It’s so sad really, he doesn’t understand how highly Crowley values him because nobody has ever valued him that much before. You’ve seen how Heaven treats him (Michael, Uriel and Sandalphon in episode 4, the Quartermaster here, Gabriel all the time because Gabe is an ass).... And they’re supposed to be the good guys! The book the guard reads is American Gods. A nice little Easter egg there. :) You’ve missed a couple of Doctor Who Easter eggs along the way... ;) You’ll have to revisit and see if you can find them! It’s been lovely so far to watch along with you (my fifth or sixth time through the show, still enjoying the heck out of it!), and can’t wait for the finale! Hope the social distancing isn’t too harsh on you, and that you and yours are well in the midst of everything that’s going on.
