It totally didn't hit me until now.... when they are in the supermarket, Ianto is telling them how much money they have left. That's because the plane disappeared before the pound was decimalised. It used to be that there were 240 pence in a pound. (Or rather, 12 pence in a shilling, and 20 shillings in a pound.) They wouldn't have known how to keep track of their money, nor make change, with "only" 100 pence in a pound.

2020-04-22 05:26:57 +0000 UTCBeautiful episode. I like the intertwining of all three stories and Gwen, Jack and Owen each bonding with the individuals from the past. Gwen and Emma was the sweetest while Jack and John was the saddest. I agree about Owen feeling very OOC in this one. I think it was the weakest story of the three but you make a good point about the necessary heartbreak
