Not necessarily because shes sad but because it shows how the job is affecting her life and finally started to make her crack. Drugging Rhys was a step too far though. This is definitely one of the weakest episodes of Torchwood despite the intentioned anger message which is basically ripped off from Fightclub. Because there was so much tension between Owen and Mark, I was kinda expecting them to get it on but for once, I misread the usual Torchwood sex signs lmao

I love that Gwen is FLAWED though, that's what makes this show so realistic (minus the aliens), the characters really mess up... Gwen cheated on Rhys, Owen is Owen, Tosh betrayed the team by fraternizing with the psychic alien and invading her colleague's privacy by reading their minds, Ianto went behind Jack's back and brought his Cyber girlfriend into the base which cost the lives of the pizza delivery girl and the surgeon (though I don't think he meant to get anyone killed, obviously). Everyone is just flawed
