2020-05-30 05:29:39 +0000 UTCAround the time that this aired, there was a lot of celebratory stuff going on for the BBC in preparation for the 50th, they made it a big deal. They showed some Classic Who episode, some Doctor Who reruns, they aired An Adventure in Space and Time, Night of The Doctor, all this other stuff. So usually reactors do some of their own celebatory stuff. So usually its Night of The Doctor and Adventure in Space and Time but others have done stuff like watch the first episode of Doctor Who ever from 1963, The 1990s TV movie, rewatched the library episode with full knowledge of River Song now and see how it changes, done like rankings of their fave Doctor Who episode, theres lots of possibilities for what you wanna do if anything!

2020-05-29 02:14:20 +0000 UTCThe GI was a classic series villain so when he/it talks about The Doctor thwarting him at every turn hes referring to past stories. Interestingly one of the copies following his entry to the timestream was the events of The Snowmen, which is a bit odd, as that felt like a GI origin story, but other interactions must have taken place 'first'. I dont think the continuity quite works because of that but maybe best not to overthink it.
