I do like how so far, through all his troubles, Ian has maintained a neat suit and tie! As for Barbara - an absolute queen! She may have seemed a mild mannered history teacher, but put her behind the wheel of a truck and she'll run down those Daleks without hesitation. Such a boss! As to where each of our Tardis team members are - Ian is in Bedfordshire at the mine, having hitched a ride on the saucer; Barbara is headed to the same place the long route by road: and the Doctor and Susan have talked of heading north (Bedfordshire is north of London). So they are slowly converging toward the same place. William Hartnell, by the way, had hurt his back during rehearsal for episode two, which is why he features so little during these 2 episodes.
